Dallas Turned 2!

Hello....anybody still out there? I hope nobody has given up on me with this whole blogging thing. I have a gazillon excuses but realize all I have to do is just sit down and do it!! So here we are missing about 2 months worth of pictures but I could not miss blogging Dallas's Pirate Party because it was way too cute for words!
Big D turned 2 with everyone there to celebrate with him! He got to be a pirate for the day, and little D was his matee! He loved everything about the day and he totally knew it was all for him.
Thanks to the help of Mom, Dad and Antie Chaney,
the Pirate Party came together with much success!

Before everyone arrived Chaney & I tried to draw these mustaches on the kids but it was a lot harder than we thought. They're a little shaky but that's what made it so funny! I can't believe Dallas actually kept this earring on for like 10 minutes!

Arrrrr! Here is me buried Treasure!

This kid has now been introduced to the greatest snack food on earth....The Nacho Cheese Doritos! Once he pops....he can't stop!

How cute are these little Buccaneers?! If you notice behind them Chaney drew a whole pirate landscape with sidewalk chalk on our backyard walls. It turned out sooooooo cute!

Oh the Little D and his Auntie Chaney!

A feast fit for a Pirate!

Mom Dad and Aunt Barb & Uncle Irv came over to Celebrate #2! That's 2 Birthdays in a row Dallas! What a lucky boy! They sure light up the party and of course Grandma & Grandpa Westmoreland were at the big bash! We sure love and appreciate all the support we get from our family! We love you love you love you!!!

Seriously guys....a little big maybe? Dad, Big D & Tom enjoying a Buccaneer Burger!

Dallas loves this part.

I did my best to make a Pirate Storybook cake. Time was short but thanks to Chaney's help it came out great! What a day! We'll never ever forget it!

I just love this picture. Dallas is way into reading books now, which I totally love and every night he likes to do a little reading before bedtime!!

College Baseball season has arrived here at ASU and we've been having so much fun attending the games. We set up a little picnic area on the grassy hill in left field and its so fun. We eat, enjoy the nice weather and watch a little ball.

Of course everything is way more fun when Grandma & Grandpa come!

That's Cheese oozing down Dallas's face from yes....the Nacho Cheese Doritos. We seriously have to hide them in the house or he will go nuts. I've never seen anything like it.

Dallas loves going to the games and Clay bought him this little mitt to play catch. He's so going to take after his dad. He really chucks that ball!

OK I know this blog is for the kiddies, but Clay and I went to this event called
A Night in the 40's and it was one of the funnest times I've ever had! Its a big band dance at the Falcon Field Air park and its to raise money for the Sentimental Journey which is a WWII B-17 bomber. You have to dress 40's so that's why we look the way we do! :)

Oh you really felt like you were back in time! They pull the plane right up to the hanger where the dinner & dancing is. They had a big band that played 40's music all night long!

Here I am posing with a Betty Grable look-a-like

This was a B-17 also parked out front.

It was a night we'll never forget! Clay and I entered a costume contest and dancing contest! As we walked out in front of the crowd to Model our outfits Clay picked me up and twirled me around. As we landed we put our hands up in the air and the crowd went nuts! We didn't win either but we didn't care because we were having way too much fun! We were probably the youngest people there by about 40 years and I loved every minute of it! I could have sat there all night and talked to every veteran there! I love everything about the 40's...the music, the wardrobe & the history. I can't wait for next year!

The Zoo is always a hit with the boys. If you're wondering why Dallas is wearing a glove with all the fingers cut off except for his thumb,well....he sucked his thumb raw. Literally, and we had to keep it covered for a few days. Dallas hated it but Clay & I thought it was hilarious.

Oh Dilly Bar.
