A Backyardigans Backyard Birthday!

Well Dallas's 1st Birthday was a smash! It was a beautiful day and we were so blessed to have all of our family with us on this most special day!
Dallas's favorite show is the Backyardigans, so we decided to have a backyard birthday and have a good old fashioned barbecue!

Grandma Beattie & The Birthday Boy
Thanks Grandma for all your help in making my party extra cool!

It was so fun to have both great grandparents there and Auntie Chelsea came to see us! What a memory for all of us!

Aunt Barb & Uncle Irv came all the way from Las Cruces to be there for the big day! How cool is that? They sure lit up the party!

Oh Auntie Chelsea! She came all the way from Dallas to be there! She was such a huge help and Dallas liked to flirt with her. She's Pretty:)

Grandma & Grandpa Westmoreland came to the backyard bash! Thanks Grandpa for all the filming and thanks Grandma for sprinkling your happy dust over everyone with your fun energetic spirit!

Chels & Grandma & Grandpa Beattie

Chels & Grandma & Grandpa Rice

Dallas was in pure heaven having both Grandparents there! He sure loves his Grandma & Grandpa Beattie! Thanks Grandpa for helping get the party ready and for running to get the hot dogs! (Saved our behinds!) Having them in town is so much fun and they sure know how to show us a good time!

Of course we had to have a Backyardigans cake!

Spoiled Much?

When it came time to cut the cake we let Dallas have at it! We all sat around and laughed so hard! It took him a few minutes to figure out what it was, but then he dug right in!

I dunno about this stuff.

It was such a special day for our family and we thank everyone for coming. Even Skibbi and Cortni came to see us and we were so blessed that everybody came for his big day. We missed our Auntie Chaney, but it was the most special 1st Birthday a boy could ask for!

Could the cake or the kid be any cuter???? Spoiled isn't the word.. "overly-indulged-Paris-Hilton" style would be more like it!!! Lucky he's too young to know he's spoiled! Love you... wish we were closer.. the crowd was a little ancient of days.. needed some cousins around.. (no offense Cindy.) Dallas is edible. yummy kid!
